An innovative diagnostic tool
CAD-BREAST MRI is a Computer Aided Detection (CAD) system designed to support radiologists in reading DCE-MRI breast exams.

Work station Accurate and useful features
CAD-BREAST MRI, based on unique and powerful detection algorithms, is able to detect and highlight suspect areas, that are accurately classified using standard assessment lexicon.
The system elaborates DCE-MRI data coming from a MRI scan. The CAD technology then detects suspect areas and extracts several key parameters combined to give a suspicion index based support.
A range of tools and features allows the radiologist to: examine the native and the subtracted dynamic sequences; use the 3D-like view of the breast (MIP) and read signal curve analysis on arbitrary regions of interest, colorimetric maps of quantitative and semi-quantitative signal analysis.
The physician makes a review of each suspect area and decides to accept, modify or reject the CAD assessment; comments, manual measurements and images to be published into the final report can be easily added. If needed, further suspect areas can be manually defined by the radiologist and easily assessed with the aid of the CAD. At the end of the review process, the system creates a document that can be saved or printed according to user preferences.

Currently, the product is in a beta-testing phase: it will be available in the second half of 2009.
